One of my favorite foods in the world is tomato basil bruschetta. However, when you're on your weight loss journey, it doesn't come around too often. And it's probably for the best but I do miss it. So to get my fix, I've created a little something to hold me over. I present to you my recipe for Flatbread Chips with Tomato Basil Salsa!
I'm not sure that I could have a few of my snacks if I didn't have the low-carb options that Flatout Flatbreads offers. In this case, I went with their Italian Herb flatbread, which also makes for a great wrap. They're delicious and have great macronutrients!
These flabreads don't take much to turn them into crispy chips in the oven. They only require a quick brush of oil and in the oven for only about 6 minutes or so. They come out crisp ready to start dipping into something delicious!
In this case, they get to be dipped into a tomato basil salsa. I gathered fresh basil, tomatoes, onion and garlic. Once they are combined, they make a wonderful dip for these chips. The aromatics of the fresh chopped basil is intoxicating. It's one of my favorite smells!
This is a great snack for any time of day. You can make it ahead of time as a work snack or increase the servings for a get-together! It's super easy and versatile. Try it today!
